Jaunt is a REALLY SWEET boy and is coming out of his shell. He now "roaches" comfortably on the doggie bed. But,for some reason he is still very shy around guys. However, he just loves my husband and spends the day curled up next to him under the desk in the office. He loves to walk and does it very well. Doesn't pull at all. The highlight of his day is when we walk the neighborhood in the evening when the bunnies come out! He walks with his head held high, ears perked up, eyes focused scanning the yards looking for the little cotton tails.
He can be very playful, and loves to chew on a knotted rope toy, and nylabone. I had to take the suffies away because he just destroys them in a couple of minutes. He also has a thing for flip-flops...especially if you don't get up quick enough to feed him his breakfast! He's great in the house. He hasn't counter surfed, and will leave the kitchen area when told to do so.
We have had big storms come through and he hasn't shown signs of anxiety, or storm phobia.
He is alert to what's going on around him, and will bark when someone comes to the door, unlike my 2 greys who could care less. He's not too sure what to make of children. They still scare him a bit, so he's not comfortable around them.
He continues to get along great with my greyhounds and follows their lead.
Did I mention that he's a great fly catcher!! When a fly gets in the house I can count on Jaunt to get rid of it for me! He'll corner it in a window and with a snap of his jaw it's gone. YUCK! Quite a character this Mr.Jaunt!

Jaunt,
We needed your fly catching skills at our house a few days ago. We had a really big loud fly inside and could not seem to catch it. None of our greys were able to do the job, although Cookie came closest to success! You keep the Palmer house fly free until you find your forever home. I hope it will be soon. You are a handsome fellow.
